$140k Raised for Cancer Treatment at a ‘Web3 Castle Party’

TL;DR

  • Trevor Jones – who just raised $140k USD to support free cancer treatment for those in need.

  • A group of 30 digital artists got together to exhibit and auction NFTs with all proceeds going to Maggie’s.

  • Ol’ Trev didn’t just create a Web3 Castle Party and try to sell random NFTs. He leveraged his community, and the communities of 30 other artists, to create an event that will ultimately help 4000 people in need of cancer treatment.

  • While NFT sales may be down, and the attendance at Web3 events have been tough during the bear market, this just shows that when an event is done well, it can be massively successful.

Full Story

Who knew there was an annual ‘Web3 Castle Party’? And where was our invite?

Well…Guess we can forgive the creator – Trevor Jones – who just raised $140k USD to support free cancer treatment for those in need.

Recently, a group of 30 digital artists got together to exhibit and auction NFTs with all proceeds going to Maggie’s.

The location for the exhibition was a Château de Vallery near Paris and fair to say it looked incredible!

But aren’t NFTs ‘dead’? What’s the moral of the story here?

While trade volume for NFTs may have decreased significantly over the past year or so, they continue to be a great way to raise funds for good causes.

Trevor Jones is one of the top 10 most financially successful NFT artists in the world – and he has a great community of supporters to go with that.
